Recommended Reading?
I've found some GREAT reads by surfing notes these days. My most recent favorite, even though I'm only about 1/3 of the way in is "Villa Incognito" by Tom Robbins (it's quirky & odd but I really LIKE the way he writes). I also borrowed "Skinny Legs & All". I think the actual book recommended (aside from Tom Robbins just in general) was "Fierce Invalids Home from Hot Climates". We don't have any of his recent stuff in ANY of the libraries in our entire consortium, unfortunately. I'm going to change that & recommend we fill out our Tom Robbins collection. (is it odd that a part of me does derive a strange and great pleasure from having a small control as to what gets ordered, what goes on our shelves? It really DOES :) At any rate...
I wish I could remember who was talking Tom Robbins as I'd like to thank them. I just came across another note referencing a book by Dave Eggers that sounded interesting so I'm putting that on the list as well.
So, I DO have a question... Read anything really GREAT lately??
