GOOD OMENS (and links o' the day)

Man, this was funny... plus it ties in with my thoughts for today:

Are You Still Having Fun?

Little girl: Look, Mommy! Those two girls are wearing angel wings.
Hipster chick #1: Actually, they're fairy wings.
Little girl: Why are you wearing fairy wings?
Hipster chick #2: We just felt like wearing them for fun.
Crazy guy: Hey, ladies! Nice wings. You could definitely be my angels.
Hipster chick #1: Goddammit. They're fucking fairy wings!

The book, Good Omens. Oh my god, this book is priceless so far. Seriously. It's a story about the warring factions of Heaven & Hell & how the demon Crowley (who was the original Snake in the Garden but then was named Crawley and changed his name because Crawley was kind of a stupid name... and how every tape that lives in his car for very long at all morphs into Queen's greatest hits and...) so... he was supposed to hand over the Antichrist child to the Satanist Nuns for a baby switcheroo so they could then track & appropriately raise the Antichrist child in the real world to prepare for the End of All Times... Unfortunately there's a slight mix-up and they manage to LOSE the Antichrist, but have NO idea that they have & spend the next 11 years tracking and training some "normal" old human boy instead. Till Hell lets loose the Hellhound for the Antichrist's 11th birthday and the naming of the Hound is to be this huge & big deal as it will tell the Hellhound what he is to DO for the Antichrist during Armageddon... well the untrained Antichrist (who was named Adam) just names his Hellhound, "Dog." And they spend some time off & on through-out the story telling how it is so confusing for the Dog because his Masters voice has told him he must be a Dog and how he then chased a rat and it was deliriously enjoyable and chasing cats--another thing altogether ...anyway.
...It's really very clever and terribly (profanely) funny...

Of course I read till my eyes were closing on their own and then when I did fall asleep I dreamt about getting sucked in to some Satanist cult that started out being really horribly scary (and bloody) and involved being pushed into a hallway and having to navigate my way through this dream-like and bizarro world which was really & truly very, very scary... only in the end, the man tenderly plucked me out and things ended twisting all up and into some very elaborate and terribly delcious S&M stuff that involved my getting...
Well. It was terribly (seriously) delicious (really) and when I woke up I was very sad for a bit until I somehow managed to fall back to sleep & back into that dream (which seldom happens when it's something GOOD--but always when it's something nightmarish & scary... so really it was terrible) and I was...
Wow.
It was just wow. Many times over WOW.
That is all.

Also, if you haven't played around with PIKIPIMP--you really, seriously have to. Upload a pic, and then you can pimp your pic. ...add some bling, add an electric blue wig... see what you'd look like with a beard. Insert George Bush standing behind you, put Nicole Richie's head on your shoulders... it goes on forever. It's insanely fun (and funny) and the kids and I morphed our faces for hours last night & laughed till we cried. It is hilarious. (you can save & email the pics to yourself but if you don't want to post your funny trial pieces make SURE YOU UNCLICK the save to gallery button. EEK!)

And... lots of these t-shirts are hilarious. I want a few of them. (especially the "css sucks" one. Yep.)
