check list:
Filed application for graduation. Sent it last week & am hoping that, given the holiday week, it was received by the deadline. Registered for final two classes this morning. My biggest complaint about this whole process would likely be that hardly any of the profs have a syllabus posted by registration. Considering the process of proctored exams & the fact that my proctor is a coach--it's been a tricky thing to schedule the classes that require a proctor to coincide with times when she is less busy with her coaching schedule. I am glad to say that I have less than two weeks left in this term--it's been a definite challenge to juggle two classes. I'm feeling pretty good about having done it, however--and kept an A average in both thus far. The math class was one I was (and continue to :) fretting about the most. I only missed two questions on my last exam though and am really thrilled to be able to think that. I had a pretty strong math background but haven't used that part of my brain in so very long. Being able to access it and actually get this stuff is really exciting. Graduation is May 9th. I'm going to walk. I think it'll be exciting for the kids to witness that, plus I want to take the weekend to visit campus and show them around... get them excited about the prospect of attending college. I also need to contact the school I'm looking at for my Masters & see what the deal is with applying for that program. I would like to wait till after January to apply... mostly because of the fees associated with that. I think the deadline for a Fall term application is June something. But I don't know if early application helps or not? I'm looking forward to having the summer off, really. Then gearing up for another 2 1/2 years of *this*.
We got about 8-9" of snow yesterday. J is out of town till Sunday so I'm heading out in a minute to shovel the driveways out. I thought about just saying screw it, but the forecasts for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights are all calling for 70% chance of snow w/ chance for significant accumulation. I guess I need to do it or I'll have a huge mess by the weekend. The neighbor has at least cut the driveways in for me in the past when J has been gone. He didn't this time though. :(
I'm feeling kind of grouchy today and am trying to turn that around. Maybe the physical exertion of shoveling will exorcise some of the grouchiness?
My parents bought the kids a Wii for christmas. They're going to be so thrilled. I need to do some browsing & consider buying them a game each for their Santa gifts. Hmmm...
